Privacy Statement
Introduction
Oki / Oki Europe Ltd (Oki) commission Acuigen Ltd (we, us), an independent company based in England, to conduct research on their behalf. The www.okiuser.com web site is operated by Acuigen Ltd.
Acuigen is registered under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 with the UK Information Commissioner and follows the Code of Conduct issued by the Market Research Society based in London.
This site is intended to be useful to existing and prospective Oki customers in Europe.
Information you give us
When you provide personal information to Acuigen to register a product or register yourself or your organisation as a customer of Oki, we will transfer the information you provide to us to Oki Europe Ltd.
We will also advise Oki if you wish to be a member of the Oki Customer Council or if you request further marketing or product information, or if you wish to participate in other research projects.
When you provide information to Acuigen as part of a survey questionnaire, we will pass on your questionnaire feedback including your answers and comments to Oki.
Oki will use the information provided to enable Oki staff to respond to enquires you may have (e.g. requests for information) and may contact you if you have an issue or problem; for research purposes; and to make improvement and changes to staff training, processes, products and services.
Your co-operation is voluntary at all times. No personal information is sought from or about you, without your prior knowledge and agreement. If you give us consent to disclose your identity we will treat this as your approval to pass back your feedback which identifies you.
You may request to remain anonymous or withdraw from the research process as explained below.
Oki may pass on a copy of your personal details and feedback to its other Oki companies, its operating companies and distributors to enable a local company or supplier to respond to a matter you may raise in the survey and for the purposes described above.
Requests to remain anonymous
If you have requested to remain anonymous (excluding when you register your product) we will pass back your responses to the questionnaire grouped together with other responses from Oki customers (including your verbatim comments). If you wish to remain anonymous you should avoid making identifiable verbatim comments - as each verbatim comment is passed back to Oki staff to read there could be a risk that something you say in the questionnaire may potentially identify you.
Information you give us for Client Logon
If you are a client of Acuigen or are granted access to one of Acuigen’s online data analysis sites via a Client Logon, you may be asked to provide personal information such as e-mail address, name, job title and telephone number. This information may be required in order for you to gain access to certain features or validate your presence on the site. Where information is provided to logon we will not disclose this personal information to a third party.
Acuigen will not, except where stated otherwise, send your personal data to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area (the area which adheres to the protection standards of the European Union) without your permission.
Storage and Transmission of Data
Any data we seek or hold shall be adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purpose for which it was requested. We will take appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful use of personal data or loss or destruction of data.
We will treat your use of this web site as your agreement that Oki may transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area, for example, to the USA. To review privacy at Oki Europe please see their Privacy Statement at www.okiprintingsolutions.com
